Over his 7 decades writing about jazz, Ira Gitler produced, authored, and edited thousands of album liner notes, magazine articles, and books. He is the recipient of dozens awards in journalism and music, and was most recently posthumously recognized by the NEA as a 2017 Jazz Master.

We will hear interviews of and by Ira, stories told by Ira, read some of his liner notes, and listen to lots of the music he loved.
