On January 18, college radio station KUSF was taken off the air without warning and University of San Francisco is attempting to sell the station's license to Classical Public Radio Network out of Los Angeles. Although KUSF DJs are fighting the sale, this turn of events has left them without a permanent radio home. We're happy to bring back a small slice of KUSF during Mayhem this year on KFJC. Dj Schmeejay will present Radiodrome Without a Home, three hours of his inimitable blend of eras and genres, spanning a century of recorded musics and ephemera. The kind of radio that makes us re-examine the ways in which we connect things. Visceral, cinematic, and still broadcasting live from the Pittsburgh in your mind. You may have heard Dj Schmeejay on KFJC's airwaves on February 18th when we aired the "KUSF DJs in Exile" live broadcast from Amoeba Records in San Francisco.
