Soundtrack to the Real New York

KFJC rebroadcasts Ann Arbor's special, "Soundtrack to the Real New York: A Portrait of Wonderwheel Recordings," which originally aired on Mayhem 4, 2016 (see playlist). Brooklyn-based Wonderwheel Recordings captures the authentic ethnic sounds of New York's neighborhoods: Middle Eastern, Caribbean, Eastern European, Latin American, Asian and mixes them up with electronics, hip hop, reggae to create wonderfully original, danceable mixes. We'll dance through the five boroughs while listening to the best of twelve years of releases, as well as an interview with DJ Nickodemus, the globetrotting producer/remixer and founder of Wonderwheel.
