KFJC rebroadcasts a special that originally aired on Mayhem 2, 2014 (see playlist). Brazilian composer/musician Egberto Gismonti burst on to the scene in 1969, and has been a steady contributor to Brazilian indigenous music/jazz since then. He's highly regarded in his native country, but not well-known in the US. This special will serve as an introduction to a distinguished 45-year career (still going, too).
