In honor of the 40th anniversary of KFJC's Month of Mayhem, tune in to hear the special that started it all! This biographical sketch of Zappa the man, the composer and social commentator originally aired in 1981 on Mayhem 1 and Mayhem 2. Featuring previously unaired interviews from 1979 as well as new recorded material from Zappa, this two-part 10-hour show inspired other KFJC DJs to craft special programming throughout the month of Mayhem. Note: We had technical difficulties during the airing of part one of the special on Mayhem 1st, so tune in for this rebroadcast to hear part one in its entirety.
