As part of the "Female Takeover After-Party," KFJC rebroadcasts the special "Femme Metale," which originally aired on Mayhem 16, 2018 (see playlist). Metal is music for men, or so the stereotype goes. But scratch the surface and you'll see that, whether on the stage or in the moshpit, there's room for everyone to scream or shred their hearts out. Dispelling the myth that you need to be a dude or dude-adjacent to be a metal enthusiast, we'll spend four hours with the best of what the women on the scene have to offer.
