Radio that's weirder than you, but not by much.
KFJC DJs and hosts are continuing to do live shows from our studios at Foothill College. We are taking precautions to protect everyone's health, including increased cleaning of equipment and regular hand washing. In light of shelter-in-place orders in the Bay Area, some DJs are staying at home. Because of this, we will periodically air shows from the past. We are happy to be here for you and hope you enjoy our mix of live shows, Mayhem special flashbacks, and more surprises. Sending much love and music from all of us at KFJC!

A Requiem for Thoth
Thursday October 29 at 2PM-6PM
KFJC has been posting archived shows of Firebunker chronologically every Thorsday at 2pm in remembrance of Cy Thoth, the on-air persona of Phil Herz. A unique entity in underground radio and indeed this plane of existence, he would rule that time slot for seven years. From March 2, 2006 until March 7, 2013 he would apply his singular take on superimposition, psychedelia, misery, and metal, while exploring the realm of a mystic's inner journey from his garden on the Magic Mountain. Exploring themes that he would be introduced to while traveling the Silk Road in his youth and blending them with his expansive knowledge of the written word, he would then deliver them in his highly recognizable cadence, timing, and volume. Join us as we revisit some of our favorite moments, monologues, memories, and more of our dearly departed dj in commemoration of the conclusion of the Firebunker Archive.
