In the 90s, Belgium's R&S Records was arguably the largest and most influential electronic music label on the planet. Their ambient sublabel, Apollo Records, released a slew of stunning records before the label folded (temporarily) in 2000. R&S relaunched in 2006, and the Apollo ambient sublabel sprang to life as well. Part 1 of the special will examine Apollo's pre-2000 output Parts 2 & 3 will look at Apollo post-revival.

Noel Scott Engel, better known by his stage name Scott Walker, was an American born British singer songwriter, composer and record producer. Walker was known for his baritone voice and an unorthodox career path which took him from 1960s teen pop icon to 21st century avant-garde musician. The Guardian said of Walker imagine Andy Williams reinventing himself as Stockhausen. Walker was described by the BBC as one of the most enigmatic and influential figures in rock history.
