Too Cool For School: Special Ed Pullout Session

Spend three hours listening to the oddly entrancing, wonderfully humorous and inescapably human results of musicians with physical and cognitive disabilities. The focus is on projects that offer people with severe disabilities the opportunity to write, play and experiment with music. Far from trying to cover up their disabilities, groups such as The Kids of Widney High and Special Music by Special People embrace and incorporate their life with disabilities in their lyrics and performances. We'll include fresh tracks by the How's Your News Band plus cuts from Dancing Tree's, Children of Ala Costa. Plus demos, live cuts and interviews if the Title I funding comes through.
