Hamiet Bluiett is one of the finest practitioners of the baritone sax in this (and the last) century. He started his career of one of the founding members of the St. Louis-based Black Artists group and worked in NYC with Charles Mingus and Sam Rivers, among others. He is also one of the founding members of the World Saxophone Quartet. This special will be a brief introduction to over 50 years of stellar jazz. (see playlist).
