Our dear friend Sal 9000 has sadly passed away. In her honor, KFJC rebroadcasts her excellent special, "Get to Know A Flock of Seagulls," that originally aired on January 5, 2021 (see playlist). Sal described her special, saying: "Yeah, that 80s band from Liverpool, England! These Grammy Award winning lads formed in 1979 in a hairdressers shop in Whitechapel, then practically overnight were in the top 10 around the world. Did you know that KFJC did a co-presents with A Flock of Seagulls in 1982 when they first toured in America? And these are the nicest bunch of blokes you could ever meet. Tune in to get to know my flock of feathered friends."
